Step two: identify your irreplaceable skill
Every human has something a machine does not: a trust-based relationship, judgement built on experience, intuition built on context, the ability to handle ambiguity.
Ask yourself honestly: “What do my colleagues and managers ask of me that they cannot get from a tool?”
That is the seat of your irreplaceable value.
Step three: learn one AI tool in your specialty
- Developer? Try GitHub Copilot for two weeks
- Data analyst? Try ChatGPT in your daily analysis tasks
- Project manager? Try Notion AI or Microsoft Copilot
Two weeks of daily use are enough to start with confidence.
Step four: be the bridge between the tool and the decision-maker
The person who understands the tool and can explain its outputs to an executive in the language of business — that person is indispensable in any organisation, regardless of sector or size.
